Hipper: EU calls on Baku and Yerevan to sign peace agreement

ArmInfo.The EU welcomes the statements made by Armenia and Azerbaijan regarding the completion of  negotiations on the draft Peace Treaty and the establishment of interstate relations, as stated by EU Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Anitta Hipper, in reference to the discussion of the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan by the Council of Foreign Ministers of the European Union in Luxembourg.

 "These statements are a significant step towards  establishing lasting peace and security in the region. It is  essential to maintain the current positive momentum and ensure a  successful conclusion of the process with the same spirit of progress  and willingness to compromise from both sides," Hipper said, adding  that the EU is calling on the parties to move forward and sign a  peace agreement, Armenpress reports.
