ArmInfo. The RA Ministry of Internal Affairs intends to hold a new tender to select a supplier of video surveillance cameras. This was announced on April 16 in the National Assembly of the RA by the head of the department Arpine Sargsyan.
According to her, the participants of the competition will be offered new technical requirements, primarily due to new challenges related to cybercrime. For this reason, the software package will also be revised. To conduct the tender, the Minister noted, an international consultant is being hired, with whose participation the Ministry of Internal Affairs intends to solve the existing problem.
Sargsyan announced another legislative initiative, according to which, when checking driver's licenses, it will be enough for a Patrol Service employee to have all the data on the vehicle and its driver on his tablet. Thus, the requirement for a plastic driver's license may not be necessary.
