Our City bloc leader refuses seat at Gyumri City Council 

ArmInfo. The leader of the Our City bloc list, Martun Grigoryan, and the member of the My Mighty Community party, Susanna Mkrtchyan, have refused their mandates in the Gyumri Council of Elders. This was reported by the chairman of the electoral commission of the 31st electoral district, Artur  Ghazaryan.

Today is the day of registration of the members of the newly elected  Gyumri Council of Elders and their receipt of mandates.

According to the election results, the mandates were distributed as  follows: the Civil Contract party will receive 14 seats in the Gyumri  Council of Elders, the Communist Party of Armenia - 8, the Our City  bloc - 6, the My Mighty Community party - 3, and the Mother Armenia  bloc - 2 mandates.

The first session of the newly elected Gyumri Council of Elders will  be held on April 16. The Council of Elders is expected to elect a  mayor on that day. Three opposition forces in the Council of Elders -  the Our City bloc, the My Mighty Community bloc of parties, and the  Mother Armenia bloc - have announced their support for the opposition  force that received the largest number of votes - the Communist Party  of Armenia candidate Vardan Ghukasyan.
