ArmInfo. There is no progress on opening the Armenian-Turkish border, as stated by Serdar Kilic, Turkey's Special Representative for the Normalization of Relations with Armenia. "No, there is no progress on this issue," the diplomat told journalists, RIA Novosti reports.
Touching upon the timeframe for the next talks with the Armenian side, Kilic said that Ankara wants to develop the process and is in touch with Armenia. However, at the moment no specific date for the talks has been set.Meanwhile, as reported by APA, Kilic also noted that Armenia and Turkiye are discussing the restoration of the Bridge over the Ani ruins.
He said that a meeting of the Turkish and Armenian foreign ministers is expected within the framework of the Antalya diplomatic forum: "We recently had contacts with Ruben Rubinyan (Armenia's special representative for the normalization of relations with Turkey - ed.), but we have not agreed on a specific date for the next meeting" Kilic also clarified whether Turkey has requested constitutional changes from Armenia: "Nikol Pashinyan has made a statement regarding constitutional amendments. Within this framework, Armenia will make the necessary amendments to its Constitution."
Earlier, a meeting between the special representatives of the two countries took place in Antalya on the sidelines of the diplomatic forum. According to the representative of Armenia, deputy speaker of the Parliament Ruben Rubinyan, the meeting was positive.
