ArmInfo. The next meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers will be held in Dushanbe on October 9, 2025. As reported by the press service of the Commonwealth, the corresponding decision was made today at a meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers.
It is noted that following the results of today's meeting, the draft Program of Cooperation of the CIS Member States in Strengthening Border Security at the External Borders for 2026-2030 was also approved.
In addition, the Regulation on the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS Member States to the Statutory and Other Bodies of the Commonwealth was adopted; the draft decision of the heads of government on the CIS Volunteer Forum was approved; the results of the implementation of the Plan of Multilevel Inter-Ministry of Foreign Affairs Consultations within the CIS and the Action Program to Enhance Partnership between the Foreign Ministries of the CIS Member States in 2024 were summed up.
The draft of the Main Directions and Activities for the Development of the Unified System for Monitoring and Assessing the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Situation of the Ministries of Defense of the CIS Member States until 2030 was also approved.
"Two Russian institutions were given the status of basic CIS organizations; the draft decision of the heads of government on the establishment of the CIS badge "For the Development of Tourism in the Commonwealth of Independent States" was approved; drafts of four international treaties within the Commonwealth were approved," the CIS press service added.
It is also noted that some of the adopted documents will be submitted for approval to the Council of Heads of State and the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS.
Armenia was represented at the event by Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan.
