ArmInfo. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov exchanged views on the prospects for the development of Russian-Azerbaijani relations in the mainstream of strategic partnership and alliance at a meeting in Moscow.
According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, a number of current international and regional issues were also touched upon.
"The key issues on the agenda of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) and the tasks of joint work on this platform during the period of Azerbaijan's chairmanship in 2025-2026 were considered, including in the context of integrating the association into the general system of multilateral cooperation in the Eurasian space," the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.
During separate consultations with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Andrei Rudenko, ways to intensify the practical activities of CICA in various dimensions of cooperation, as well as issues of interaction in the Caspian, were discussed in detail.
