ArmInfo. Armenian Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan commented on the accident involving an ambulance that claimed the life of a doctor.
"A sad incident occurred early this morning. An ambulance crew got into an accident in Yerevan while performing their professional duties. Unfortunately, the doctor passed away. I express my deep condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Ghazaryan.
The nurse underwent surgery, and her condition is currently assessed as serious," Avanesyan reported on her Facebook page. The tragic incident was also commented on on his Facebook page by Yerevan City Hall Press Secretary Hayk Kostanyan, who presented the details of the accident. "On April 8, at about 6:00 a.m., on Tamantsineri Street in Yerevan, an ambulance drove off the road and crashed into an electric pole. As a result of the accident, three people were taken to the hospital.
Unfortunately, as a result of the accident, a doctor who was next to the driver died. I regret to note that the doctor was not wearing a seat belt, as a result of which he received serious bodily injuries incompatible with life," Kostanyan wrote.
In the recent period, ambulances have become involved in accidents on the roads of the country. The reason is that they often violate traffic rules without making sure that the route is safe. Often, ambulances that have jumped out into the oncoming lane or at an intersection catch drivers of cars driving in accordance with traffic rules by surprise.
