ArmInfo. The "Free Homeland - UCA" faction of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh has issued a statement calling on citizens to take part in tomorrow's rally at Freedom Square in Yerevan, scheduled for 3:00 P.M. The rally is convened in response to Armenian authorities' intention to halt social assistance to the people of Artsakh.
The statement notes that the Armenians of Artsakh are facing serious humanitarian and social challenges. The faction pointed out that the lack of action and responsibility from Armenian authorities have led to a dire situation that threatens the rights and future of our compatriots. "Under these circumstances, our society cannot remain silent and is forced to raise its voice to assert its rights and fair demands. Therefore, we call on everyone to join the rally initiated by the public and urge the RA government to develop and implement a clear and long-term policy to resolve the social and economic issues of Artsakh Armenians.
Additionally, we urge to ensure stable living conditions for displaced families, including housing, healthcare and education programs, as well as to implement effective measures to create jobs and promote economic development. Furthermore, to consistently raise the issue of the collective right of return for the Armenians of Artsakh in international platforms, to use all possible legal and political levers to secure the immediate release of our captive compatriots, raising their issue in international structures and demanding justice," the faction stated.
