ArmInfo. The political behavior of the Armenian authorities is pushing Azerbaijan to a new adventure. This opinion was expressed on his Facebook page by Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the Armenian parliament from the opposition faction With Honor, touching upon the increased frequency of shots along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in recent days.
The deputy drew attention to the fact that Azerbaijan has been terrorizing residents of border settlements with shots for a week now. And at the same time, according to him, the Armenian authorities are calling on citizens to remain calm and not react to what is happening, so as not to give a reason for provocation. However, as Abrahamyan noted, such statements come from those who constantly talk about the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.
The oppositionist expressed his conviction that it is precisely the assurances of senior officials that the Armenian side does not intend to return the occupied territories by military means that are pushing Azerbaijan to continue shooting, resort to aggression and seize new territories.
"Nobody is calling on the Armenian authorities to declare war, but they cannot remain silent and set society up for unnecessary morality and impotence. Perhaps this is their true goal? Yes, that is true. Azerbaijan has been terrorizing residents of border settlements for a week now, and the authorities have come up with a stupid explanation: to keep quiet and pretend that nothing is happening, so as not to give a reason for provocation. They believe that if Azerbaijan has intentions, then what can they do if they cannot find a reason or invent one. The political behavior of the Armenian authorities is pushing Azerbaijan to a new adventure," the oppositionist summed up.
Yesterday, March 26, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported that shots not aimed at the territory of Armenia are sometimes recorded along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The department published such a statement, taking into account the distribution of various publications and videos on the Internet about different parts of the border zone.
