ArmInfo. The Academy of Arts of Armenia will start cooperation with the Cultural Development Fund. The corresponding memorandum was signed by the rector of the Academy Vardan Azatyan and the director of the Cultural Development Foundation Karen Avetisyan.
As part of the cooperation, the parties will jointly implement scientific, educational, cultural and entertainment programs, events, develop innovative educational proposals for the presentation of cultural heritage. The document also provides for the organization of educational, industrial and research practices for students in the country's museums.
The decision to establish the Cultural Development Fund was made at a government meeting in February 2024. Initially, it was planned that the Fund would be assigned functions related to the administrative, economic, marketing activities of museums, as well as issues related to accounting. In case of successful activities, the issue of transferring the functions of other organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports to the Fund will be considered.
The Foundation's activities include the introduction of effective tools for cultural management, stimulating the financial independence of government organizations operating in the cultural sphere, and are also aimed at the development and modernization of industry infrastructures.
