ArmInfo. "This is unacceptable," Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a regular government meeting, touching on the lack of "tangible," in his opinion, results of the scandalous cases initiated "with pomp" back in 2018.
"The reports of the Anti-Corruption Committee and the Investigative Committee traditionally talk about a certain number of criminal cases initiated. But there may be nothing dramatic in initiating a criminal case - it can be initiated today and stopped tomorrow. Or the case may go to court and end in acquittal. In other words, we need to record what happened with the initiation of criminal cases," Pashinyan said.
The Prime Minister expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that some criminal cases were initiated with pomp since 2018, but remained unfinished for many years.
This, excuse me, is unacceptable, because the public and the government must receive an answer>, he said, emphasizing that significant funds were invested from the state budget in organizing the work of the Anti- Corruption Committee, so greater efficiency is expected from the structure.
