ArmInfo. The current Armenian authorities are subjecting the country to new trials, conveying messages of despair, defeatism and helplessness to the public. This was written on his Facebook page by Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from the opposition faction With Honor.
The deputy recalled that for several days now Azerbaijan has been spreading disinformation about ceasefire violations by Armenia, which the RA Ministry of Defense promptly refutes.
"And what is Pashinyan doing against this background? He writes a strange status that he gave the Defense Ministry a clear order not to violate the ceasefire, because Armenia is moving towards peace, not war. A third party may get the impression that either violations on the Armenian side really took place, and Pashinyan ordered them to stop, or Pashinyan hints that he is not sure that the army will act within the framework of his political course, and insists on his order. I am convinced that the Armenian army did not violate the ceasefire, but I am even more sure that Pashinyan's statuses make Armenia even more vulnerable. Peace is not begged for. It is achieved through the right negotiating position, diplomatically competent and flexible policies, the presence of an effective governance system in the country, the implementation of the necessary security measures and constant readiness for war," Abrahamyan noted.
The day before, in his post on Facebook, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that he had instructed the RA Ministry of Defense not to violate the ceasefire. "Armenia is moving towards peace, not war," the Prime Minister emphasized.
For several days in a row, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has been making statements that the Armenian armed forces are allegedly violating the ceasefire, which the RA Defense Ministry has constantly denied. The idea is being formed in the Armenian public that with its actions, Baku is preparing the ground for a new armed provocation.
