ArmInfo. Azerbaijan will tighten the "noose to the end" to deprive Armenia of the opportunity to make independent decisions. This was written on his Facebook page by Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from the opposition faction With Honor.
The deputy noted that against the backdrop of the completion of negotiations on the "peace" agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, yesterday's disinformation campaign by Baku definitely shocked the Armenian public. On the one hand, the government of the Republic of Armenia instills false expectations in the people regarding the long-awaited peace, and on the other hand, Azerbaijani unofficial mouthpieces are actively writing about the possibility of a new war.
"Three false Azerbaijani reports of ceasefire violations in the Syunik direction during the day confirmed the hypothesis that Azerbaijan is preparing for new provocations, not peace.
The question arises: what is the point of escalating the situation and provoking possible provocations? The main issue for Baku is the topic of the "corridor" that was highlighted from the text of the "peace" agreement, and Azerbaijan is trying to increase pressure in this direction. At the same time, the final disarmament of Armenia, which has recently come to the forefront and is formulated under the extremely dangerous demand of "demilitarization", is very important for Azerbaijan," the parliamentarian emphasized.
On March 16, the RA Ministry of Defense three times refuted the claims of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry about the alleged shelling of its positions located in the southeastern direction of the border.
On March 13, official Yerevan confirmed the completion of negotiations with Baku on the draft peace treaty. Thus, in a statement by the Armenian Foreign Ministry, it was said that the Armenian Foreign Ministry, through diplomatic channels, informed the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry that the Republic of Armenia accepts Azerbaijan's proposals on two uncoordinated articles of the draft "Treaty on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan".
Earlier, the head of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry stated that the Armenian side accepted all of Baku's proposals, including those regarding the abolition of the OSCE Minsk Group and amendments to the country's Constitution.
