ArmInfo. Under the influence of certain forces, a Turkish citizen, previously detained in Yerevan, was released and there were signs of a cover-up of the crime. Human rights activist Ruben Melikyan wrote about this on his Facebook account.
Earlier, Armenian media reported that Ali Aslan, a 41-year-old Turkish citizen living in the Yerevan London Hotel, cursed and behaved disrespectfully towards the guests and employees of the hotel on March 11 while intoxicated. Aslan was taken to the police on suspicion of committing hooliganism and documents were drawn up, which were transferred to the investigative department of the Kentron and Nork Marash districts.
"Based on the report of the respected citizen, I am well aware of the details of this incident. The aforementioned Turkish citizen behaved like a master with his servants.
I have information that at the initial stage, law enforcement officers demonstrated adequate countermeasures. However, later, under the influence of some "invisible force", their behavior changed. Firstly, the accused was released very quickly, and signs of concealment of the crime appeared.
I urge journalists to keep this case in the spotlight so that through publicity it would be possible to prevent the concealment of facts with the intervention of the ruling Civil Contract party, which accepted Turkish citizenship," Melikyan wrote.
