ArmInfo. The so-called "peace treaty" should have provided for the implementation by the Azerbaijani authorities of decisions of international courts on complaints from Armenia, and not for the refusal of them. This was stated by the former Ombudsman of Armenia Arman Tatoyan.
The human rights activist once again emphasized that the head of the Armenian government does not have the authority to refuse Armenia's complaints against Azerbaijan in international courts or influence such decisions. Tatoyan added that Pashinyan makes these statements based on his narrow interests as the leader of the Civil Contract party, abusing his status as the Prime Minister of Armenia.
"The current head of government himself stated: "The people of Artsakh did not give me a mandate to represent them anywhere" (for example, in an interview on 05.02.2019). Moreover, the leader of the "Civil Contract" cannot deprive hundreds of thousands of people of their vital rights.
He also does not have the authority to deprive citizens of the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian Diaspora of the opportunity to defend their rights in connection with historically significant mass violations.
