ArmInfo. On March 11, the annual dinner of the Council of Armenian Organizations of France (CCAF) took place at the Hotel du Collectionneur in Paris. The vent was attended by members of the French government, leaders of political parties, parliamentarians, diplomats, journalists, actors, and artists.
According to the Nouvelles d'Armenie publication, Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau spoke on behalf of the French Republic government and noted that the Armenian issue goes beyond all French political parties. The Minister stressed that this dinner is "a meeting of friendship and devotion." "Our loyalty to the Armenian issue is first of all "physical", because, according to Anatole France, Armenia is our sister. The international community has often failed to show enough courage in defending Armenia. In any case, France has always been on Armenia's side," the Interior Minister said.
Touching upon the issue of the release of prisoners in Azerbaijan, Ritailleau stressed: "Today my thoughts are with 23 people, including Ruben, who are risking their health and lives for the values they believe in. I think of them and hope that my words today will reach the borders of Azerbaijan and that the prisoners will be released."
