ArmInfo. The Council of States of Switzerland will consider the issue of holding an international conference on March 18, dedicated to the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. This was reported by the Artsakh parliament.
The Artsakh legislative body recalled that in December 2024, the lower house of the Swiss parliament, the Federal Council, adopted a resolution calling on the government to organize an international conference dedicated to the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
"On March 18, 2025, this very important issue for us will be discussed in the upper house of the Swiss parliament - the Council of States. On this occasion, ahead of the discussion, on March 13 at 13:30, a rally will be organized in front of the Swiss Embassy in Armenia, during which we will express gratitude to the Swiss parliament for the steps taken by the lower house. We will also call on the upper house to also adopt a resolution, and also appeal to the Swiss government to use its proven role as a neutral mediator in initiating international discussions on the right of return of the forcibly displaced residents of Artsakh," the Artsakh parliament said in a statement.
