ArmInfo. A major theft has occurred at the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant. As reported by the crime chronicle website Shamshyan.com, on March 6, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received operational information that pipes made of copper, nickel and iron had been stolen from one of the warehouses on the administrative territory of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant.
Police officers established on the spot that the operational information was reliable, the theft had occurred between February 18 and March 5, and the nuclear power plant had suffered significant material damage.
Documents were drawn up by the police regarding the incident, which were forwarded to the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, where a criminal case was opened under the article "Theft of state property".
The only question that remains unclear is how the property was removed from the territory of the plant, which is subject to special strict inspection controls.
