ArmInfo. The Government of Armenia considers it expedient to ratify the protocol on inclusion in the treaty of the CIS member states on interstate search of persons.
The decision to ratify the treaty of December 10, 2010 was approved at the meeting of the RA government on March 6.
As noted in the rationale for the draft decision, the protocol was signed in Moscow on October 8, 2024. The document establishes the possibility of electronic data exchange. In particular, information on wanted persons can be submitted in electronic form by scanning a copy of the document from a paper medium. This protocol shall be temporarily applied after 20 days from the date of signing and shall enter into force after 30 days from the date of receipt by the depository of the third written notification of the signatory parties' completion of the domestic procedures necessary for its entry into force.
