Azerbaijan closing  ICRC office in the country

ArmInfo.Azerbaijan is closing the office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in  the country.

"The government of Azerbaijan has informed us of its intention to  close the office of the International Committee of the Red Cross in  Azerbaijan," ICRC public relations specialist Aurelie Lachan told  APA.  According to her, contacts with government bodies are currently  being maintained.  Note that the ICRC is the only international  humanitarian organization that has access to Armenian prisoners of  war and civilians detained in Baku. Moreover, the ICRC is the only  source of information regarding the condition of Armenians held in  Baku.
