Armenia`s minister of interior, Italian ambassador discuss  cooperation in crime prevention 

ArmInfo. At a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of Italy to the country Alessandro Ferranti, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia Arpine Sargsyan  expressed confidence that the new ambassador will play an important  role in the development of Armenian- Italian relations with his  activities.

As ArmInfo was informed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of  Armenia, the parties also touched upon local experience of  cooperation and opportunities in the police sphere, in particular,  the formation of the police guard and other key areas.

Sargsyan noted that a crime prevention strategy will be developed in  Armenia in the near future and, taking into account Italy's  experience in this area, she proposed expanding cooperation in this  area. The issues of visa liberalization and cooperation in the  migration sphere were also touched upon.

The interlocutors, emphasizing the importance of strengthening mutual  cooperation, expressed their readiness to develop it in the law  enforcement sphere through the exchange of experience and joint  programs.
