Protest in front of Armenian  Government to demand protection for  Armenian hostages in Baku

ArmInfo.A rally will take place in front of the Armenian government building demanding the  protection of Armenians held hostage in Baku.

The statement of the Free Armenian Hostages initiative reads, in  particular: "Today at 16:00 I will be in front of the Government of  Armenia.  Dear friends! Like you , we have had some kind of  relationship with Ruben Vardanyan at one time or another: we have  participated in the implementation of his projects, collaborated with  him in various capacities, or simply attended Aurora events. And now,  we- and we are sure that many of you, too-cannot stand by and watch  with indifference the footage of the farcical trial being conducted  against him in Baku.

Since February 18, Ruben has been on a hunger strike, which marks his  second hunger strike in Azerbaijani prison. At the cost of his life  and health, he is trying to draw attention to this charade that is  being carried out not only against him, but also against other  Armenians. If he can fight so honorably behind bars, then surely we,  living in freedom, should also strive to do t something on his  behalf.

We are certain that you, like us, are tormented by powerlessness. We  constantly ask ourselves  what we can do and how we can help. Our  communications with former colleagues, friends and acquaintances have  revealed that they do not have enough information and would like to  know more about  this ongoing judicial farce and other important  events. As a first step, we decided to gather today in front of the  Government of Armenia today. To express our just demand to protect  the Armenian citizen, our Armenian fellows.
