ArmInfo. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has a sensitive attitude towards the Armenian Revolutionary Federation "Dashnaktsutyun" and its ideology, as stated by Mourad Papazian, member of the ARF Bureau, Co-Chairman of the Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations of France, in an interview with journalists on the sidelines of the 35th Congress of the Supreme Body of the ARF "Dashnaktsutyun".
Dashnaktsakan stated his belief that Pashinyan should prioritize safeguarding of the interests of the Armenia in the current turbulent world. "The Prime Minister must demonstrate responsible behavior. Meanwhile, he is irresponsible," Papazyan said, touching upon the Armenian Prime Minister's claims that all the country's troubles are due to the Dashnak ideology that prevails in Armenian society.
When asked about the advantages of Pashinyan's recent visit to France for Armenia and the Armenian community, the Dashnaktsakan noted that there were essentially no benefits. "In essence, none. The Dashnaks were not invited to this meeting with the participation of the so-called 20-25 people. There were 30 people in the meeting hall, 25 of whom did not understand the Armenian language at all. Thus, they did not understand the words said by Pashinyan about the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire, when he actually questioned the fact of the genocide," the Dashnaktsakan said. At the same time, he believes that Pashinyan, by questioning the fact of the Armenian Genocide, is fulfilling the demands of the Turkish side. Papazyan is confident that Pashinyan's concept of opposing "real Armenia" to "historical Armenia" will bring the Republic to its knees. "Without historical roots, the future of Armenia cannot be built," the Dashnaktsakan emphasized.
Referring to his declaration as persona non grata in Armenia, which Papazyan challenged in court, the Dashnaktsakan noted that he is a free man and is free to say what he wants. "If the price of my free expression is a ban, I am ready to sacrifice it again," Papazyan said. At the same time, he emphasized that the current friendship between Armenia and France is not due to the personalities at the head of the two states, but rather to the coordinated work of the Armenian community in France. "The Armenian-French friendship is contingent upon the relationship between Pashinyan and French President Emmanuel Macron. This friendship is a result of our hard work. Regardless of who is in charge in Armenia, this friendship would still exist because of our efforts," the Dashnaktsakan concluded
