BBC, Russia Today offices closed in Azerbaijan  

ArmInfo. The representative offices of the BBC and "Russia Today" (Sputnik-Azerbaijan) have been  closed. This was reported by the press secretary of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Ayhan Hajizade.

According to Azerbaijani media, the Azerbaijani diplomat also added  that accreditation is only possible as one correspondent.

Hajizade also reported that the correspondent accreditation of the  Voice of America radio has been cancelled.

We will add that the independent Azerbaijani agency Turan also ceased  its activities earlier. And before that, dozens of journalists from  opposition media in the country were imprisoned.
