


ArmInfo.The third President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, addressed the Armenian people with a message on the 37th anniversary of the Artsakh movement. In his address, the third president emphasized that memory is a force that allows to resist the evolving threats.
In this vein, Serzh Sargsyan noted the need to recover from the pain of loss, and also called for avoiding the mistakes of the past, re-evaluating the present, remembering and glorifying the victories and heroes of the past, and fighting for the fundamental right to live with dignity, freely and independently in our own homeland.
In conclusion of his message, Serzh Sargsyan emphasized that memory should inspire action. In this regard, he called for a thorough rejection of the ideology imposed by the current rulers of Armenia: to forget their roots, history, homeland and national dignity. He urged not to accept false and dangerous theses about the state and homeland, to reject indifference, overcome fears, not to lose vigilance and, accurately calculating the dangers, to achieve victory again. "A nation without memory, sooner or later loses its future," the third president of Armenia concluded.
