ArmInfo. MP Artur Khachatryan, a member of the opposition faction "Armenia", called for not rushing to dissolve the OSCE Minsk Group for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Khachatryan recalled that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in an attempt to justify the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group at the request of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, claims that "the group members do not engage in a dialogue with each other." He pointed out that on February 18, a meeting between the heads of the US and Russian foreign ministries took place in Saudi Arabia.
The MP noted that, according to some reports, the meeting addressed not only issues concerning Ukraine but also the situation in the Caucasus and Central Asia. "Serious developments are taking place in the world and in the region that could either result in destructive consequences or open new doors of hope, so do not rush to consider the Artsakh issue closed," Khachatryan concluded.
