"Mother Armenia" reports success of boycott against increase in  public transport fares

ArmInfo. Samvel Hakobyan, a member of the Council of Elders from the "Mother Armenia" faction,  announced the success of the boycott against the increase in public transportation fares in Yerevan.

In an interview with journalists, Hakobyan stated that in the first  week of February, the city budget received significantly less money  for travel than expected, demonstrating the effectiveness of the  boycott. He emphasized that their goal is to attract more and more  people to join this campaign.

He also added that awareness-raising campaigns are now taking place  not only in public transport, but also in educational institutions in  Yerevan. Hakobyan emphasized that while such campaigns may not  solve  the issue, but they can create legal and political grounds for the  public to actively advocate for their interests.
