ArmInfo. After identifying the remains of soldiers killed during the 44-day Artsakh war, only a few funeral ceremonies by parents have recently taken place. Armenian Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan told journalists about this during a briefing.
Avanesyan reported that the results of examinations on the remains conducted in Armenia and abroad were consistent. She noted that efforts are ongoing to work with parents who are hesitant to recognize the validity of these results. The Minister mentioned that a specially created interdepartmental group work is addressing this issue with consideration for all circumstances and sensitivities involved. If an agreement cannot be reached, the state, according to Avanesyan, will take responsibility for the burial of the servicemen. However, she refused to provide specific data on the number of identified remains.
