ArmInfo. Issues of bilateral cooperation on international platforms were discussed at a meeting in Tehran between the Ambassador of Armenia to Iran Grigor Hakobyan and Mr Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Legal and International Affairs of Iran.
According to the press service of the Armenian Embassy in Iran, the parties emphasized the importance of further strengthening cooperation and developing joint initiatives within the framework of international organizations.
Hakobyan also met with Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Deputy FM for Political Affaiirs
The issues on the bilateral agenda of Armenia and Iran in the political, economic, infrastructure, energy and other spheres were discussed, and regional processes were also touched upon.
Hakobyan noted that deepening relations with Iran, based on mutual respect and trust, is of particular importance for the government of Armenia and the Armenian people. In turn, the Iranian diplomat noted that the development of relations with Armenia is of particular importance in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, for which there are all the prerequisites.
The high-ranking Iranian diplomat noted that Iran continues to adhere to its clear position regarding the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia, as well as the immutability of the region's geopolitics.
