ArmInfo. Four of the seven individuals previously detained in the criminal case on corruption in the Yerevan City Hall have been arrested by a court decision. This information was confirmed to Armenian media by the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia.
The department noted that three of the arrested individuals are officials of the Yerevan City Hall. Among them are the head of the Public Order Protection Department Aram Gyulzadyan, his deputy Aram Ayvazyan and the head of the territorial department Mikael Gimoyan. The fourth person arrested is the former head of the Urban Development and Land Control Department Robert Darbinyan.
Earlier, the press secretary of the mayor of Yerevan Hayk Kostanyan reported the detention of several employees of the municipality. However, he refrained from disclosing the details of the case, calling on interested parties to contact the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia for additional information.
