Yerevan Municipality staff members detained - spokesman 

ArmInfo. Yerevan Mayor's Press Secretary Hayk Kostanyan reported the detention of several employees of the capital's municipality.

"I would like to inform you that employees of the Yerevan City Hall  have been arrested. The municipality is cooperating with law  enforcement agencies to support the procedures established by law,"  Kostanyan wrote on his Facebook page. At the same time, the press  secretary refrained from disclosing any details, calling on  interested parties to contact the Anti-Corruption Committee of  Armenia for additional information.

Earlier, the Anti-Corruption Committee reported that investigative  actions were being carried out within the framework of the criminal  case under investigation and that, among other things, officials from  the city hall had been detained. The criminal case in question has  not yet been reported, nor has it been reported where the arrests  were carried out.
