ArmInfo. It is obvious that RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wants to establish an ideological basis to prolong his term in power and sell Armenia to the Turkish world, as stated by Armen Ashotyan, Vice-Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia, to journalists on February 44.
He noted that, based on Pashinyan's statements made during a press conference in the United States and earlier, one can conclude that there is an attempt in the country to establish an ideological basis to prolong the current prime minister's stay in power.
Speaking about Armenia's desire to join the European Union, the politician mentioned Azerbaijan's more than active cooperation with this structure. He noted that just a few days ago, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development signed a multi-billion dollar program with Azerbaijan. Additionally, the day before, EU officials announced a project to enhance cooperation with Baku in the energy sector in 2025. "The EU has decided to impose sanctions on individuals who violate human rights. I believe that there no representatives from Baku included in this list. Moreover, one of the EU structures will increase engagement with Eastern Partnership countries, including Armenia, Belarus and Azerbaijan. So, just think about that," Armen Ashotyan said.
