ArmInfo.The OSCE Minsk Group and its related institutions it are subject to being dissolved, as stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during a weekly briefing on January 31.
The diplomat mentioned that the OSCE Minsk Group ceased its work in February 2022, pointing out that this decision was solely the responsibility of the French and American co-chairs, without any prior consultations or explanations. According to Zakharova, a joint statement was issued by the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia, the President of France, and the representative of the European Council on October 6, 2022 in Prague.
"The Minsk Group has lost the object of its activities. It is clearly subject to being dissolved. This ripened measure is intended to facilitate the long-awaited normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. I have nothing more to add to this," the Russian Foreign Ministry representative noted.
