Opposition Armenian politician makes appeal to international  community 

ArmInfo. Gegham Manukyan, a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from the opposition faction "Armenia", has called on countries and international organizations to pay attention to the developments in the country.

"That's how, with berets, violence and the removal of opposition  members of the Yerevan Council of Elders from the meeting room, they  are "running" towards the European Union. Robbing people everywhere,  inventing new ways of robbery, they are trying to find life  preservers, and for this they are trying to silence the voice of the  opposition everywhere. Organizations, countries, international  structures that protect human rights, political and civil  liberties... where are you?" the oppositionist wrote.

Today, at an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Elders, where  the new tariff of 150 drams for travel on public transport was  discussed, an extremely tense situation developed. As a result of the  scuffle between the representatives of the position and the  opposition, the police intervened in the matter and forcibly removed  the opposition members of the Council of Elders from the meeting  room.
