ArmInfo. During 2025, industrial whitefish catch in Lake Sevan should not exceed 314 tons. At the meeting on January 30, the RA Government approved the volumes and dates for catching fish and crayfish in the lake.
As noted in the justification for the draft decision, the specified volume was approved based on studies conducted in 2024 by the Hydroecology Center of the National Academy of Sciences. The Cabinet's decision is aimed at preventing negative risks associated with the reduction of fish stocks in Lake Sevan and sustainable management of fish resources. The industrial fishing period is set until June 1, 2025.
