ArmInfo. The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia has filed new charges against Seyran Ohanyan, the head of the opposition parliamentary faction "Armenia" and former RA Defense Minister, in relation to the events of March 1, 2008.
He is accused of abusing his office by using violence. In the Anti-Corruption Court, the prosecutor filed charges against Ohanyan. According to these charges, Ohanyan, as the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces in 2008, colluded with others to commit actions that clearly exceeded his authority, resulting in unintended serious consequences. The punishment for this act is 4 to 8 years of imprisonment.
