French Ambassador: Armenia`s rapprochement with  EU being achieved  through harmonization of norms and standards

ArmInfo. Armenia's rapprochement with the European Union is being achieved through the  harmonization of norms and standards, as announced by the French  Ambassador to Armenia, Olivier Decottignies.

As the diplomat mentioned, he had discussions with the Bureau Veritas delegation  today. "Exchange of views with the Bureau Veritas delegation led by  Mr. Sofien Masmoudi. Armenia's rapprochement with the European Union  is currently being achieved through the harmonization of norms and  standards," Decottignies wrote in his Twitter microblog (X).

According to information from open sources, Bureau Veritas is a  French inspection and certification company, the second largest in  the global certification services market after SGS in terms of  revenue. The headquarters are located in Neuilly-sur-Seine (a suburb  of Paris).  The company provides services in the field of  certification, industrial audit, technical inspection, technical  supervision, inspection and verification of ships and cargo, and  verification of compliance with quality, environmental, safety and  labor protection standards. The company's revenue in 2023 amounted to  5.9 billion euros, with distribution by region as follows: Europe -  35%, America - 28%, Asia-Pacific - 28%, Africa and the Middle East -  9%. The company employed 81.500 people and had 1610 offices and  laboratories in 140 countries.
