ArmInfo. Today's incident in the Armenian parliament involving the map of the Republic indicates the presence of Turkish censorship in the country as noted by Armenian Turkologist Varuzhan Geghamyan on his Facebook page. During a parliamentary session today, a single map of Artsakh and Armenia was torn.
According to him, using the country's map in Armenia is actually forbidden and expressed the opinion that Turkish censorship is present in the republic. In this vein, he recalled a similar incident that occurred in September 2021.On the Goris-Kapan road, which the Armenian authorities handed over to the enemy, an Azerbaijani terrorist stopped a bus with Armenian children. He threatened them with a weapon and scraped the flag and coat of arms of Artsakh from the lining of the vehicle. As the Turkologist noted, such a tendency is familiar to many specialists. He mentioned that in the 19th century, the Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II issued a decree banning the use of the word "Armenia".
