ArmInfo. Ankara thanked Armenia for its assistance in the extradition to Turkiye of two individuals involved in organized crime in Turkiye.
On January 19 evening, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported that in response to a request submitted by Interpol under the Red Notice, on January 19, 2025, Armenia extradited two individuals involved in organized crime in Turkiye to Turkiye.
In this regard, the Turkish Foreign Ministry stated that Ankara appreciates the cooperation demonstrated by Armenia in this matter.
In turn, the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs expressed gratitude to the Deputy Minister of Justice of Armenia Tigran Dadunts in connection with the extradition of the wanted leaders of the criminal group and for cooperation with the police of Ordu Province.
"As a result of cooperation with Armenia, Ibrahim Kaymak and Ercan Yilmaz, who had been wanted for 6 and 15 years, were detained in Armenia and extradited to Turkey," the Turkish Interior Ministry said in a statement on Twitter (X), according to the media.
