Yerevan to host `Akhtamar. The Legend of Love` ice show 

ArmInfo. On the occasion of the birthday of the great Armenian writer Hovhannes Tumanyan, Yerevan will once again show the spectacular ice show .

The production is based on an original plot, but offers a new look at  the famous story. The ice show will give the audience a bouquet of  vivid sensations: large-scale scenography, colorful stylized  costumes, and amazing special effects. Water and fire will become  incredible decorations in which a dramatic, but light- filled love  story will unfold. This will be an ice show of a new format, where a  traditional divertissement is combined with a multimedia performance  on ice. The show will feature Armenian figure skating stars.

In total, more than 200 people from an international team worked on  the project, who wanted to show people all over the world the beauty  of the Armenian land, the richness of the culture and the greatness  of the soul of the proud Armenian people. The director of is an ice choreographer, figure skater, figure  skating coach, artist of world shows and dancer Dmitry Lapshin. The  composer of the show is Alexey Galinsky (the author of the musical  accompaniment for the figure skating exhibition performances at the  2014 Sochi Olympics). The duduk part in 2018 was performed and  recorded by the legendary Jivan Gasparyan. A whole team of  professionals worked on the costumes under the supervision of the  costume designer - Karine Dnoyan. 

The creative director of the project is Stanislav Korchevskiy, the  producer of the ice show is Zara  Mkheyan. Let us note that the performance will take place on February  19, at 19:00, on the ice of Ice Arena Yerevan (Isakov Ave. 27/10).  Ticket prices: stands: 6,000 - 15,000 drams, VIP: 20,000 drams.

The premiere of the ice show took place on  November 25, 2018 at the K.  Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex  and gathered 8,000 spectators.
