ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made changes to the composition of the border delimitation commission and changes were made on border security issues.
In particular, according to the decision of the head of the Cabinet, the first deputy of the same department, Major General Alexander Tsakanyan, was appointed instead of the deputy chief of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Colonel S. Grigoryan.
In addition, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Hovhannes Harutyunyan was replaced by another deputy minister - Armen Simonyan.
Alexander Tsakanyan, who held the post of commander of the 3rd Army Corps of the Armenian Armed Forces during the demarcation and delimitation works in Tavush, was appointed first deputy chief of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces on November 27, 2024, by the decree of the President of Armenia.
Earlier Pashinyan confirmed the statement of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev that the meeting of the border delimitation commissions will take place in January.
