ArmInfo. On January 14, at the meeting of the board of the ruling Civil Contract party in Armenia, chaired by the chairman of the board, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinya, the results of the primary elections in the Parakar community of the Armavir region were summed up.
In addition, as reported by the Civil Contract party, the candidacy of Vahram Khachatryan was approved for the post of chairman of the council of the territorial organization of Metsamor.
The former head of the Parakar community, the representative of the Civil Contract Ludwig Gyulnazaryan resigned on November 18. He was forced to take this step after a scandal erupted: it turned out that the head of the Parakar community participated in a fatal shootout that took place on November 16 in Yerevan.
Then, 42-year-old Artur Manukyan, who had arrived from France, was shot dead on Nazarbekyan Street. According to Armenian media, Gyulnazaryan was at the scene of the incident and received a gunshot wound to the leg.
However, according to the results of the primaries held recently, the former head of the community, Ludwig Gyulnazaryan, came in first place.
