ArmInfo. The unified republican ambulance service will be launched throughout the country during this year. This was announced by Armenian Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan during a press conference on January 14.
She noted that in 2024, this service was launched in the northern part of the republic - in the Shirak and Tavush regions with an operational control center in Gyumri.
According to the minister, these changes have led to a reduction in call time - by an average of 4 minutes. The content of the call has also changed - from now on, ambulance calls and hospitalization calls are separated, which increases the efficiency of this service.
The Minister noted that the cost of a call was also revised, as a result of which it was possible to retrain the employees of the unified ambulance service and carry out technical re-equipment. In addition, the salaries of these employees will be revised this year, which will also have a positive effect on the quality of services provided.
Back in the spring of 2024, Anait Avanesyan said that the introduction of a unified ambulance service is due to the fact that very often an ambulance located in physical proximity cannot service a call, since it belongs to another medical center or another region, and accordingly, this call is not included in its service area. , - Avanesyan explained then.
