Turkey appoints new ambassador to Azerbaijan

ArmInfo Turkey has changed its ambassador to Azerbaijan.  As reported by local media, according to the decision of Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Birol Akgun has been appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Azerbaijan.  Birol Akgun was previously the chairman of the Turkish Education Foundation. The above-mentioned decision was published in the "Resmi Gazette" of Turkey. Birol Akgun is set to begin his new role in February 2025,  replacing Cahit Bagci.
