ArmInfo.The world premiere of the documentary film by Uzbek director Ali Khamraev (2025) will take place at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR). This was announced on his Facebook page by the director and artistic director of the international film festival Karen Avetisyan.
The cameraman of the film was Yuri Klimenko. The film presents documentary footage of Sergei Parajanov's visit to Tashkent, talks about the friendship of the masters of cinema, which left a big mark on Khamraev's heart.
During one of the meetings with fans of his work in Uzbekistan, the director noted that this is a very personal film, since he showed Parajanov as he personally saw him. The idea to shoot such a documentary originated with Khamraev back in the spring of 2023.
On his Instagram page, the director said that in 1985, at Parajanov's request, they found themselves at an Uzbek wedding in Tashkent. , Khamraev shared his memories.
The Rotterdam Film Festival will be held from January 30 to February 9.
