Mirzoyan: Armenia already considers its relations with the US to be  at a strategic level

Armenia already considers its relations with the US to be at a strategic level, as stated by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan at a press conference in Yerevan on January 8, touching upon the opinion voiced in the expert community that an agreement on strategic partnership between Armenia and the US could be signed before Donald Trump's inauguration.  

"We already have a strategic dialogue, which we aim to  elevate to a high strategic partnership. Of course, there are  documents related to this that still need to be discussed. A meeting  between officials from Armenia and the US is also in the works. We  will have to wait and see what the outcome will be," Mirzoyan said.   When asked about the specifics of the planned meeting, the minister  only noted that it would involve officials from Armenia and the US.
