ArmInfo. The Baku Military Court will begin hearing a case against eight former and current leaders of Nagorno-Karabakh who were detained during the September exodus of the Armenian population from the region.
As reported by APA agency, the preparatory hearing chaired by Judge Zeynal Agayev has been scheduled for January 17. The indictment in the criminal case was approved by the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan on December 16, 2024 and submitted to the Baku Military Court for consideration. Among the accused are three former presidents of Nagorno-Karabakh: Arkady Ghukasyan, Bako Sahakyan and Arayik Harutyunyan. Also appearing before the court will be former Foreign Minister David Babayan, Parliament Speaker David Ishkhanyan, former Defense Army Commander General Levon Mnatsakanyan, General David Manukyan and former State Minister Ruben Vardanyan.
