ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will not participate in the informal summit of CIS leaders in St. Petersburg. He wrote about this on his Facebook account.
The Prime Minister noted that the reason for refusing to participate in the summit was the coronavirus. "On Monday, December 23, I was diagnosed with COVID. On December 23 and 24, I isolated myself and worked at my place of residence. On December 25, my diagnosis was already negative, and I returned to my normal work schedule. However, after consulting with my colleagues, I decided not to participate in the informal summit of CIS leaders, which will be held today in St. Petersburg. By the end of the day, I will decide whether or not to participate in tomorrow's meeting of the Supreme Economic Council of the EAEU," Nikol Pashinyan noted.
On December 25, an informal summit of CIS leaders will be held in the Igora resort complex near St. Petersburg.
As Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov previously reported, at the meeting, Russian President Vladimir Putin will sum up the results of Russia's chairmanship of this organization in 2024, after which the participants of the event will informally exchange opinions on current international issues. In addition, the heads of the CIS countries will discuss preparations for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War in Moscow, where they have all been invited. No documents are planned to be signed following the event.
