ArmInfo. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan congratulated Jean-Noel Barrot on his reappointment as Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France.
"I cordially congratulate you, dear Jean Barrot, on your reappointment as Minister of French Diplomacy. I look forward to continuing our cooperation to strengthen the Armenian-French partnership with the aim of achieving new tangible results both bilaterally and within the EU. I would like to reaffirm my determination to work together to address current challenges in order to strengthen stability in our region," the Armenian Minister added.
As RFI reports, on the evening of December 23, the composition of the government of the new Prime Minister Francois Bayrou was announced in France. He was appointed to this post amid an ongoing acute political crisis. The previous cabinet headed by Michel Barnier was dismissed by parliament, which passed a vote of no confidence in the government with the combined votes of the left and far-right opposition. The heads of a number of key departments retained their posts - the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defense: Jean-Noel Barrot, Bruno Retaillo and Sebastien Lecornu. Former head of the Ministry of the Interior Gerald Darmanin returned to the government - to the post of Minister of Justice. And former Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne was appointed Minister of Education. The cabinet includes former politicians-heavyweights of the Socialist Party: former Prime Minister Manuel Valls and Francois Rebzamen.
