ArmInfo. There is only one truth: on October 6, 2022, in Prague, Nikol, with the help of his "backpacks" and "satellites", surrendered Artsakh, thereby dooming the Republic of Artsakh to a blockade and genocide of 150,000 Armenians. This is how the deputy of the National Assembly of Artsakh Metakse Hakobyan responded to the latest statements by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan that negotiations had allegedly been underway since 1994 to transfer the NKR to Azerbaijan.
"Nikol and his "backpacks" know seven songs, and all seven are about how to shift responsibility for the surrender of Artsakh to the nomads to the people of Artsakh," the deputy wrote on her Facebook page. In this vein, she drew attention to the fact that there was no seizure of power in Artsakh in September 2023: on Nikol's instructions, Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan submitted his resignation to the National Assembly on September 1. According to her, Nikol had one goal: to fulfill Azerbaijan's demands with the help of his "satellites" from Artsakh - parliamentary and extra-parliamentary.
"He sought to decapitate Artsakh so that, according to their plans, the people would "flood" into Armenia. If the Artsakh National Assembly had not been self-organized and had not elected a president, Nikol would have managed to close the issue of Artsakh's status. The state institutions of Artsakh must remain active so that the issue of the Republic's status is not closed," Hakobyan wrote.
At the same time, she emphasized that those who targeted the state institutions of Artsakh and the 22 deputies of the NKR National Assembly demand the creation of various replacement committees, NGOs and the solution of the "social and legal" problems of the people of Artsakh, while convincing them that the Artsakh issue is closed or that the only way out is to live with the nomads - these are links in the chain of Azerbaijan + Civil Contract.
It should be noted that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, today, once again trying to absolve himself of responsibility for the surrender of Artsakh, stated that "since 1994, that is, after the ceasefire, the negotiation process has been conducted on the return of Nagorno-Karabakh to Azerbaijan."
"The negotiation process had no other content. Narratives about other content were introduced in the Republic of Armenia exclusively to solve domestic political problems. In this context, I made a big mistake - in 2018, when I was getting acquainted with the content of the negotiations, I did not admit the above to myself (my patriotism of the model known to you did not allow me to do this) and, therefore, I did not explain all this to the people," Pashinyan wrote on social media.
It is noteworthy that back in the fall of 2016, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev complained that he was being forced to recognize Artsakh behind closed doors. And these revelations of Aliyev, according to independent experts, do not fit into the logic of today's statements by the Armenian prime minister, who back in August 2019, on the Renaissance Square in Stepanakert, loudly shouted "Artsakh is Armenia, period," and in 2023, with the same confidence, echoed "Artsakh is Azerbaijan."
